While the obfuscation feature has officially graduated to the main stable release, the Proton Team was quick to note that users will still see a "beta" label next to the protocol inside the application itself.

"The beta label stays until we're confident it holds up across every distro, network condition, and edge case you throw at it, so keep the reports
coming," the company explained to its Reddit community.

To try the feature, users simply need to update the Proton VPN Linux app to the latest version and navigate to the application settings to switch protocols. Because the update is actively rolling out across various mirrors, a handful of users on the Reddit thread reported a slight delay in receiving the newest patch (v4.17.2).
