Industry rumors suggested that another writer would take over as lead showrunner, but to me, it's the perfect time for Sheridan to get back in the driver's seat.

, and, most recently, The Madison , having not directly led a Yellowstone spinoff since 1883 and 1923 .
That being said, Dutton Ranch has still performed exceptionally well without him, whereas the fellow spinoff Marshals , has suffered. Surely, it would be
a pretty nice thing to jump on the victory train that is Beth and Rip's new life in Texas.
