of exceptional new horror movies on Netflix and the other best streaming services around, the "golden oldies" shouldn't be swept to one side.

It makes me a little nauseous calling this week's Netflix horror pick by that label, because it confirms that I'm no longer the teenage youth that I still feel like I am in my head. But if you were a tween in the 2000s, Jennifer's Body probably formed part of your core identity... and it's just been added
to Netflix US, UK, and Australia. When Jennifer becomes possessed by a demon after a failed occult sacrifice by an indie rock band, she starts killing and eating her male classmates, full succubus style. It's up to Needy to stop her, distorting and breaking the pair's friendship in the process. This also means that there's a lot of
blood, guts, and Fox reaching ridiculous levels of sexy to get what she
wants. If you've never seen Jennifer's Body , let me walk you through why
it's worth your time (and what lines will be etched into your soul from this day forward). With iconic lines so quotable that they've stood the test of time 20 years on and an obscene amount of sexual tension between Fox and Seyfried, it's the horror equivalent of the sleepover movie you'd be embarrassed to let your parents know you'd watched (complimentary).

If you also happened to be questioning your sexuality in the late 2000s
(which may or may not be based on true experiences), Jennifer and Needy's impromptu sleepover scene will still be seared into your mind. Here's Jennifer's Body quickly swapped scary for sexy, leaving us all confused and ensnared in Jennifer's ever-growing web, just like her victims.

But don't get me wrong: this is also a genuinely scary movie. The final takedown scene falls somewhere between The Exorcist and Night Swim, with a sprinkling of The Bride of Frankenstein thrown in for good measure.
Jennifer's Body is an experience that pulls out all the stops, so don't
    expect any half-heartedness.

If none of this has convinced you to stream it immediately, watching Fox
light her own tongue on fire to prove that she's immune to pain might be the hardest a horror movie scene has ever gone, and you'd be quoting "No, I'm killing boys " for the rest of your days.

Talk of Jennifer's Body 2 has been bandied about for years, too, and
according to screenwriter Diablo Cody [via Dread Central ], it's genuinely being written. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready, as they say.
