4K 144Hz and variable refresh rate support for gaming Available in 55, 65, 75 and 100-inch options, from $1,299 to $3,999 Toshiba has launched a new premium-but-not-too-premium mini-LED TV, called the Z670R. It's available in five sizes: 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches. But while the specification is decent, the pricing makes it more expensive than rivals from the likes of Hisense and TCL by quite some margin: the 100-incher is $3,999 compared to around $2,200-$2,500 for rivals that we've reviewed very strongly.

That means it could be a tough sell, because while Toshiba describes this new TV as delivering "a premium viewing and gaming experience" that's not really what the brand is known for these days. It's mostly a budget brand that makes perfectly decent low-priced TVs and this Fire TV is going head to head with some very good and even more affordable Google -powered options. The Toshiba Z670R is available now from Amazon US , but so are some very good TCL and Hisense options that I think you might want to consider first.

The two TVs below are both very impressive we've reviewed both of them and crucially, they're much more affordable, especially in the very biggest
sizes. (No doubt the Toshiba will get discounts too, but it'll still have to work hard to beat these for value) TCL QM7K Series mini-LED TV (98-inch): was $2,799 now $2,199 at Amazon We really like this TV, and we gave it 4.5 stars in our TCL QM7K review . It's "a fantastic TV for the price", we said, and it delivers great results in 4K HDR with only a few minor niggles such as the fairly reflective screen. It's a typically TCL TV that does an awful lot for an impressively low price, and it features a rather nice Bang & Olufsen sound system too. A week ago, it was $2,800 for the 100-inch and there are good prices on the other sizes, too. 55-inch: $699 at Amazon 65-inch: $799 at Amazon 75-inch: $997 at Amazon 85-inch: $1,497 at Amazon View Deal Hisense U8QG mini-LED TV (100-inch): was $3,996 now $2,977 at Amazon A higher-end option than the mid-range TCL above, we really like this TV too, and gave it 4.5 stars out of five in our Hisense U8QG review. It's fantastically bright with low reflectivity, great gaming features and a very attractive price tag. It's particularly good for gaming thanks to its 165Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, ALLM, Dolby Vision gaming, and HDR10+ gaming. That puts it up with some of the best gaming TVs . Again, it has great prices at
smaller sizes too. 55-inch: $737 at Amazon 65-inch: $847 at Amazon 75-inch: $1,297 at Amazon 85-inch: $1,687 at Amazon View Deal Follow TechRadar on Google News and add us as a preferred source to get our expert news, reviews, and opinion in your feeds. Make sure to click the Follow button!
