Subscribe to our newsletter Im sure I dont need to say this, but where would we be without coffee? Im well aware there are many people who dont drink the good stuff, but for those of
us who do, I reckon we can all agree its something we could never live without.
And no matter if you have a couple of cups in the morning or spread a variety of coffee-based drinks over the course of your day, if youre getting your caffeine hit from a cafe, then I can only imagine what your yearly
expenditure would look like. Fortunately, thats where a home coffee machine can come into its own, as theyll slowly but surely earn their price tag back in the amount saved from avoiding takeaway.
Thats especially true right now, as there are several excellent espresso machines discounted for Afterpay Day, from a variety of retailers. Ive used
my fair share of coffee machines in recent years, from fully-automatic bean-to-cup machines, to convenient capsule models and even cafe-level machines that deliver the true crema de la crema (see what I did there?) of at-home espresso so safe to say, I know which machines are most worth your money.
Ive picked out my six favourites below, but make sure to follow my live coverage of the Afterpay Day sales for a more comprehensive selection. A compact machine ideal for small kitchens, youre guaranteed a well-extracted shot of espresso, and it is a great option for coffee machine newbies. You'll need to pair it with a great coffee grinder if you want to use beans, or you can simply use ground coffee instead. AU$1,099 now AU$921 at The Good Guys Of all the coffee machines Ive come across, this is probably the one I wish I owned the most. Not only do I think it looks fantastic and is small enough to easily place on a kitchen counter, but its semi-automatic nature and touchscreen control mean you can have as much, or as little, input into your coffee as you'd like. It can do an awful lot awfully well, and Im actually surprised it isnt far more expensive than this. Id avoid using the DEAL code with this one, as hitting the Price Beat button will actually get you the best price. The Good Guys This is the machine I actually do use at home, where its proven to be an invaluable addition in my kitchen. Its compact, is unbelievably simple to use and brews a great cuppa. I have found the LatteGo milk-foaming system doesnt perform as well as Id personally like, but on the whole, this
is a great option if you want a machine that will handle the entire coffee-making process for you while you step away for other tasks. Use code DEAL for the best price. Those qualms were quickly shelved, as it produces a genuinely lovely-tasting coffee. A variety of Lavazza pods are available and it couldnt be easier to use. This model doesnt have a milk frother included, but you do get 64 pods. Plus, for AU$59, its an absolute steal. Read more Read less View Deal
