  • BBS is back up and running normally

    Well I got the BBS back running normally!

    The system got infected with the NewYear virus causing massive memory leaks, simply cleaning it caused executable corruption and I had to run the installer again (simply copying over the executables manually did not fix it.).

    The process sounds more involved and scary that it really way, since it detected a previous install, it only copied over the new executables. So it was a run, done, and reboot process.

    The issue manifested itself by guru'ing any time I added a new text file or PFILE in a TEXT/DOOR area and when it got to those directories using COUNT.
