    - Protein. Raises blood sugar much less than carbohydrate
    - High fibre, high water content carbohydrates like green vegetables.


    Foods to avoid:

    - Anything which is ultra processed. Cook using raw ingredients at home.
    - Anything made from root vegetables, grains or legumes. Anything starchy. So avoid
    bread, pies, cakes, chips, potatoes, etc.
    - Anything that tastes sweet
    - Fruit, especially fruit juice
    - Milk

    Foods to eat:

    - Meat, fish, eggs, nuts, high fat dairy (butter, cream, full fat yogurt, cheese),
    fermented foods and green vegetables which grow above ground.
