Perhaps my ADHD is inescapable... I really can't find any game that I can
play even for a few hours... Most I only give a few minutes. I've tried Inside, but got bored with that quickly. I have yet to play Chained Echoes
for more than an hour, and that's a really fun rpg! I don't suffer from
brain rot, I've never been one for short form media. I just can't get into anything and it's extremely frustrating... Any ideas? I'd love to have a normal attention span, but I can't take ADHD medication due to contraindications with my schizophrenia meds... I can't win for losing...

Have you tried Crawl? That game is ADD in digital form. Very fun coop(if you can call it that) as well. Great on the Switch or PC

Others I can think would work well for you depending on the type of game you're after

    - Risk of Rain 2
    - Hell Divers 2
    - Ixion (requires a lot of attention but juggling so many things it works)
    - Meet your Maker
    - Age of Darkness
    - Conquerers Blade
    - Planetbase
    - Rogue Tower
    - Ruiner
    - Children of Marta

Also I wouldn't beat yourself up too much about moving on after a couple of hours. I get most of what I want out of a game after 2-4 hours. Had my fun, on to the next.

Try playing games with other people. There are some cheap fun multiplayer games on Steam like REPO and Peak that are pretty popular right now. Maybe playing with other people and communicating will help?

I tried Borderlands 2 with a friend, but got bored with it really fast.I had
to cheat to make my character powerful enough so that I could actually survive, but that still didn't make the game any fun.

No, haven't even heard of it. I'll take a look.

Most of those seem to require reflexes that I don't have. I've been on
heavy anti-psythotics for decades, which cause major tremors and degraded reflexes. I tried Hell Divers 2 and was unable to get past the training into the actual game. That's a problem I've had with a lot of games. Easy mode
is normal, not actually easy. I tried DMC5, but that was way too hard for me as well because the controls were too complex. I also tried AC Fires of Rubicon, which I really enjoyed, but was unable to get to the point where I could save games and modify the mech.

The thing is, I've only found a couple of games that I've enjoyed for more
than a few hours. Kakarot and Mech Warriors 5 Mercenaries. I also had some fun with the Steam Genesis emulator. I've put in 16 hours in Kakarot, about
4 in MW5M, and about 24 in the Genesis Emulator. No other games are even close. Kakarot got too hard (I'm at Vegeta vs. Android 18), MW5M got boring really fast (extremely repetitive) and I got stuck in the Genesis Emulator in Phantasy Star 2 due to difficult maps. If what I have enjoyed is any help, maybe some suggestions can come up... I don't enjoy multi-player, I don't enjoy puzzles and I don't enjoy difficulty at any level. I've got much more that I don't like than what I do like. I do like playing in absorbant environments that make me want to invest in the story, especially one I'm familiar with (which is why I was able to get so far in Kakarot).
