    Hi Accession,
In a message to Fusion you wrote:

I wonder if this is why Fidonet still has hundreds of nodelisted systems, yet about 10-15 people regularly write messages. ;)

I think a lot of people may be running auto pilot systems. Heck I
am still in the nodelist but I don't really participate anymore. Even here I don't post like I used to, everything turns into an argument now.

    Hi all.

Just dipping back in to the hobby and starting on admin catch up etc. lordy I'm a tad overwhelmed by where to start in that regard but it's going to be a case of one thing done at a time... the only way really ..

Have skimmed a number of messages on this thread.

Let's move on from this topic thanks, I ask everyone considers the fsxNet values when considering posting to an echomail area.. let's keep things kind, respectful and helpful thanks.

I think it's fine for people to disagree with each other but if you're straying into labels and name calling etc. we'll... just don't thanks... it's not helpful and to my way of thinking strays into the "willfully incites discord" space.

    Best, Paul

There was nothing unkind or disrespectful about the message you replied to. If you're going to enforce rules and values, please direct them to the target they should be intended for.

There was no disagreement in the message, either. Perhaps you're replying to the wrong message? I purposely did not reply to the original, out of respect for your values. I only replied to the people that I know can keep the conversation civil, and stayed away from the original message.

The message may have quoted you, but was addressed to All. It seemed pretty clear that he was addressing specifics, not a single person.

The "specifics" you mention were not actually quoted in the message. I (on purpose) replied and veered the conversation somewhere else (ie: blame Fidonet, because why not?), to avoid whatever argument and name calling that was going on at the time.

    Thanks for your $.02, though.

There was a reason the post was addressed to 'All' and not Tiny... the comments were directed to 'everyone' and that was clear in what I wrote.

I also mentioned I had been skimming the thread and opted to post my comments after the latest post made with the same subject...

Whoops, hit send before I'd finished typing.

All good Nick, my intent is to simply remind everyone of the values I hope we're all trying to abide by in order to make reading/posting in fsxNet echomail areas a more pleasant experience..
