• AI, tool for enshittification...

A couple of new stories struck me --

Delta Airlines is using AI, fed from your personal data harvested by data brokers and credit bureaus, to figure out the maximum you're willing to pay, and adjust their prices per-customer.

Shiftkey, a gig app for nursing help, bases awarding hours by how many hours you don't work waiting for them to call. And, the pay scale is based on unregulated data and credit scores. The more of a risk you are, the lower they pay.

Then, add on junk fees and the value to the worker drops even further.

I want to move to a village and barter with my local villagers.

I am likely downgrading my Delta Gold Amex to Amex Green if things get worse by next June.

A couple of new stories struck me --
One I've seen recently was that McDonald's McHire program (built by paradox.ai) had an IDOR vuln uncovered. It's speculated the entire thing was vibe coded.

We are living inside a capitalist nightmare, as you already know. They will go as far as possible to make money from you. It was never about the consumer. No company cares about you, yet again you know that already... I hope...

They have a profile on all of us. They're always looking for new ways to make a profit. This was inevitable.
