    Hi,

I ran talisman BBS from version 0.02 until I shut down the BBS. Does anyone have the last version
for linux (source I guess) that was released handy?

    Thanks,

    Shawn

    Shawn,
Someone took over the project and has the source available... well, maybe
that is "had." It was on github or gitlab as of earlier this year but google cannot find it anymore.

I do have a copy but wasn't able to get it to compile on intel. I also have a(n older?) copy on a Pi that compiled and ran the last time I tried it.

Let me know if you are interested and I will see if I can get it to you somehow.

I guess if we wanted to copy Beyonce, if you like a cvs you see you need to copy it.

That's what I found. I've been searching around, I found a version on throwback BBS that
might be the last one. 0.32 I think it was.

I'm working on getting it running now, the issue is not only didn't I save the darn download but the docs are gone as well.
Ah well, maybe it's best to just leave it in the past. :)

    ?

I used duckduckgo which is a frontend to bing... google sucks at searching these days.

I appear to have a version 0.54 here.

Also, I have found the gitlab homepage!

    https://gitlab.com/lawrencestockman/talisman-releases/

0.54 is the latest there. That is the one I couldn't get to compile here
on an intel machine. 0.49 or 0.51 is the last one I had running on the Pi
    and it still works.

I do have a copy but wasn't able to get it to compile on intel. I also

That was one thing about Talisman... all the docs were on the website and
not distributed with the code. If the site went away, so did the docs.

Come to think of it, I guess that is what happens if synchronet's wiki
    ever goes away, too!

I did not check for them on Lawrence's gitlab while I was there, but maybe the docs still live on there somewhere?

I hope we always retain that title. ;)

BTW, I accidentally lied. The 0.54 version does compile here on intel, but
I get segfaults trying to fire it up.

I got side tracked with the binkterm-php package. But I have the talisman site bookmarked and I will
get to working on that one soon!

    Thanks again,
