    I used to run my BBS from an Asus netbook for almost 10 years -- switched battery once; fan still working without any problems when I sold it (I got an Intel NUC as I wanted more memory and a faster CPU).

    It's convenient to have a built-in terminal. =)

    Actually, I am quite insane, but that's aside from the point... I find the laptop to take up less room than a desktop and be more upgradeable than a mini pc. It seems ideal. I've been doing this for many years now. A Win11 host and a Win10 guest run everything I need.
