Hello fellow left handed person! I feel like I'm an odd ball because I also use the mouse with my left hand. It seems like most people
left/right handed still use themouse with their right hand anyway.

    Speaking of left handed folks. However I do have a question;

I believe that can opening corporations discriminate against left handed folks.

like to make attempts at writing with my left hand so i can develop some muscle memory for riding switch stance and regular when i'm skating.

    ... Writers do it everywhere.

If we want to get s00per accurate,
I write left handed, and "lefty" was for much longer a term
describing people that do that, rather than lean one way in politics.
    :)

I never though tit was odd until back in my 20s when I started an office job, my project manager came over to use my computer and was baffled at the mouse placement.

Oddly enough, my Mom is right handed, but uses her mouse with her left
hand... It's a little confusing to use her laptop!

    Has to be truth! ;)

    I throw left-handed, use a fork or spoon left-handed. When I played
baseball as a kid and young adult, I batted right-handed and later
learned to bat both. When doing yard work, I rake or sweep either way.
But I am definately politically not a "lefty' either.

I'm kind of all over the place, I suppose.

I write and use silverware left handed. I can swing a bat and kick with both (self taught, was right handed with these two originally), but I can't and never could throw left handed at all. Right is definitely my strong side, but left (where it can be used) is way more steady and accurate.

I think you can still consider yourself an odd ball in that category, at least! I've never seen anyone use a mouse left handed, but good for you!

Were left handed mice always available for you? Or was that not something that was introduced later on?

Meaning, were you using the mouse buttons backwards with your left hand at first? It looks like nowadays they made some pretty nice ergonomic left handed mice, though.. So all those years you suffered, now you can get pampered! ;)

I'd be more inclined to believe just practicing riding switch stance would help develop the muscle memory much faster than trying to write with your left hand. :)

I've actually never owned a left handed mouse before! I just use a regular one with the buttons in the same layout as a right handed mouse. (So "left click" is actually "right click").

I guess it's like the Jimi Hendrix mouse style! :)

I don't have a Windows computer anymore but when I did, I also liked the start menu on the top of the screen.. but I guess that's more of a carry over from Linux/Mac.

As an adult, I learned how to write a bit with my right hand for fun and one cool thing I've learned I can do with that is write with both hands at the same time. It has to be the same word/sentence/etc though.. Still a fun little trick!

Not sure I've ever tried that before, even though I did somewhat teach myself to write with my right hand a bit. It's nowhere near as legible and neat as my left, but it's doable. I'll have to try that sometime.

I'm right-handed, but years ago when I used to play pool/billiards more often than I do now, I practiced left-handed shooting, and now I can shoot pool with both hands. I figured that was easier than trying to contort myself over the table just to make certain shots right-handed. :)

I played a lot of tennis when I was younger, and learned to golf along the way. I'm left-handed, and my grandfather found me a set of left-handed clubs at a flea market. I realized a golf-swing was a forehand, except you're pointing down at the ball.

Later on, I borrowed a tall (he's 6'7", I'm 6'3") friend's custom clubs, and tried those out. Only problem was that he's right handed. I lined up to hit the ball and realized that it was just like hitting a backhand.

I went back and forth for a while, but got more power left-handed. Not that I was good enough for anything except Beer Golf...

You've got it all wrong - you're supposed to shoot right handed, lose, up the stakes, then say "Oh, I forgot, I'm left handed!", then proceed to clear the table.

Wow, this could be a hell of a hustle! Remember that scene in The Princess Bride where during the swordfight they both went through an "I am not left handed" bit? Imagine playing lefty for a couple whole games and then
switching to righty once the stakes get high.

I fully agree. But trying to tell that to people who post that stuff
can be pointless sometimes.. They tend to argue "but, free speech!"

There is so much bullshit in "free speech" rights when articulated by disappointed liberal globalists who tend to tell you "there is one

And that "political correctness" connected to "free speech" just
    doesn't cling!
