    Hi Rick,

Those two lines are the avatars import script handling a bad message gracefully, not a crash. In exec/avatars.js, the JSON.parse of each
"SBBS User Avatars" message is wrapped in a try/catch. When a message's
JSON block won't parse, the script logs that warning, reports " FAILED"
for that one message, and carries on with the next. The import pointer
still advances past the bad message, so nothing is stuck.

The [ERROR] tag is not Synchronet's. Synchronet logs that alert() text at warning level; your Log Analyzer is classifying the line as an error
because it contains the words "Error" and "FAILED".

So the real question is which message won't parse. The script prints
"Importing msg #NNN from <name>:" right before the error, so the line
above the two you quoted names the message number and sender. Read that
message in your SYNCDATA sub and look at the text between the json-begin
and json-end lines. Two things to check:

    - If it is the same message number every night, the import pointer is
not being saved. Look for an "Error opening/creating ...syncdata.ini"
    line in the same run.

    - If it is a different number each night, something is mangling those
messages on their way into your sub. Vertrauen has imported every
avatar message from the last few days without a parse failure, so the
problem is specific to the copy on your system (or to a message only
    your system received).

I've updated avatars.js (v1.42) so that warning now includes the length
and the text of the JSON block it failed to parse. Once Rob pushes it,
the log alone will show what went wrong.
