• Even The Most Advanced Ai

Thank goodness I became a senior software engineer on my own merit long befor and without AI. At least when I create something new now, I can keep my digni about it, even if I use SOME AI help in the process. ;)

Not only did I manage to do that also, I managed to retire right before it became a thing... "it" being AI programming.

Granted, my career was nearly entirely with COBOL, and most of the AI
coding seems to not be. I have been reading lately that some companies
are trying to get AI trained on COBOL so the models can either maintain or replace it.

I did as well. And I'm just recently starting to use AI more with software projects. It think it really helps to know how to do it "manually".

This will probably be a problem I will eventually run into. I know how to
do it manually in a language or two, but having been using AI to assist
with projects in languages I do not know... the ones that I don't find
logical but are what everything modern is coded in and that many
programmers like because their bosses cannot read them. ;)

So I let AI work on that stuff and hope I can use AI to fix it if it
    doesn't work. ;)
